"We’ve been patients for about 10 years now. They’re wonderful and have helped in so many ways. The gals at the front are always super sweet too! Top-notch!!!"

The Way You’re Feeling Is More Common Than You Think.
The thoughts and symptoms you face daily aren’t just confusing – they’re debilitating.
From the moment you wake up, fear takes over. Everything feels overwhelming. You’re exhausted from staying on high alert…and from trying to appear “normal.”
Intrusive thoughts pull you away from life. You feel empty and numb. You feel like a burden.
And it doesn’t help that the rest of the world seems to tackle life with ease. You wonder, “Why can’t I?”
That’s when you realize – living like this is no longer an option.
So when you come to us, we create a safe space to hear and understand how your experiences have shaped you.
Then we give you help that tends to your mind and body.
With science-backed solutions from practitioners who lead with empathy and curiosity, we walk with you to get to the root of it all.
Because it’s time we get to the bottom of why life’s so hard.
...with an expert mental healthcare team that can’t wait to be in your corner.
When You’re Ready, Discovering What You Need Is Our Greatest Asset.
We know how hard it is to ask for help.
Especially when you’re overwhelmed with never-ending thoughts. Or when your strained relationships – or your child’s behavior – leave you feeling lost (and unsure of what to do next).
That’s why PRA Behavioral came to fruition in 1991.
When two expert board-certified psychiatrists, Dr. Emmanuel A. Perakis and Dr. Steven J. Resis, realized your mental health can’t – and shouldn’t – wait.
So they set out to build an expert care team that would lead with compassion (and provide proven solutions) for adults of all ages.
A decade later, Dr. Donna Woods and Dr. Robert Fabsik brought their expertise in child and adult psychiatry, establishing PRA Behavioral as the community’s go-to mental health facility for children ages 5 and up.
And for over three decades now, we’ve learned how important it is for you to feel safe.
..that it’s necessary to look at your mental and physical health.
And that getting to the root of who you are, understanding what you’ve been through, and adapting to what you need..
Is vital in moving you forward.
"I've been going here for well over a year now and I have always been treated wonderfully! Most importantly, they are SO understanding and helpful. Thank you for your service!"

Choose From 3 Simple Ways To Get in Touch
Questions about insurance or scheduling a new patient appointment? Here are three easy ways you can communicate with our team.
Behavioral Health Near Me FAQs
How do I know if therapy is right for me? If you're struggling with emotions, thoughts, or behaviors that make daily life harder, therapy can help. Whether you're dealing with anxiety, depression, trauma, OCD, ADHD, or just feeling stuck, our team is here to listen and give you real strategies to move forward.
What ages do you treat? We help individuals 5 and older – kids, teens, and adults. No matter your age, if something feels overwhelming, we’re here to help you work through it.
What types of therapy do you offer? We offer evidence-based therapies, including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), exposure and response prevention (ERP) for OCD, trauma therapy, neurofeedback, and more. We personalize treatment to fit your needs, not a one-size-fits-all approach.
Do you prescribe medication? Yes, our psychiatrists and nurse practitioners can evaluate if medication could help alongside therapy. We take a thoughtful approach, knowing meds aren’t for everyone. If it’s something you want to explore, we’ll walk you through your options.
What if I’ve tried therapy before and it didn’t work? That’s more common than you think. Not all therapy is the same, and sometimes it takes finding the right approach or therapist. We take the time to understand what hasn’t worked in the past so we can find what will.
How long does therapy take? It depends on your goals. Some people see progress in a few months, while others benefit from long-term support. We’ll help you build a treatment plan that makes sense for you.
What makes your clinic different? We don’t just treat symptoms – we look at the whole picture, including your past experiences, physical health, and what’s happening in your life right now. Our team is compassionate, science-backed, and focused on finding real solutions, not quick fixes.
How do I get started with therapy or starting/adjusting medication? It’s easy. Just reach out, and we’ll guide you through the process. We’ll ask a few questions to match you with the right therapist/clinician and schedule your first appointment. Whether in person or via telehealth, help is just a call away.
